On September 21st 2013 15 Readers from the All Saints course were licensed in Liverpool Cathedral. It was an historic moment, with Readers who have done both the older 3-year training course and the new 2-year course with All Saints being licensed together.
The photo shows all the Readers along with the Bishop of Warrington, Rt Rev Richard Blackburn, Jean Todd the Warden of Readers, Wendy Pooley from the diocesan Lifelong Learning team and Rev Simon Chesters, Director of Studies for Readers on the All Saints course from Liverpool Diocese.
The youngest of those licensed, James Taylor, said “One thing that reader training and ministry has taught me is that you meet some amazing people and friends. I will value and regard the people I have met with high value”.
