Training for Pioneer Ministry

All Saints trains people to be part of what God is doing in new and changing contexts and for some that will mean that their main focus will be planting and leading new forms of church that live out the faith in a fresh way.

Pioneer ministry is a demanding vocation, and All Saints provides the teaching and support to prepare Ordained Pioneer Ministers (OPMs) practically, intellectually and spiritually for mission-focused ministry.

OPM candidates follow All Saints’ specially designed programme to develop entrepreneurial mission skills as well as ground you in the biblical and theological skills necessary for Christian ministry.

All Saints’ programme is based on practical mission-based learning with a pioneer supervisor / mentor, integrated with class-work and reflection alongside others training for lay and ordained ministries, with input from experienced practitioners.

OPM candidates train under guidelines provided by the House of Bishops.  All Saints works with you to develop advanced theological, ministerial and missional skills.  At the heart of the programme is work with a pioneer supervisor/mentor on long-term mission-focused placements.  Each year of training this provides in-depth practical experience and growing responsibility for mission and evangelism.
