Welcome to All Saints Centre
All Saints Centre for Mission and Ministry is a theological training institution with teaching centres across the North West. We specialise in local part-time training for lay and ordained ministry in the Church of England. Aiming to equip every student to be, under God, the best disciple, Reader, Deacon or Priest they can be, we provide theological education and ministerial formation that are:
- Community-based and rooted in local contexts across the North West;
- Accessible and inclusive;
- Offered part-time to fit around a busy lifestyle;
- Focused on the formation of Christian faith and character;
- Structured around Scripture, prayer and worship, and that
- Seek to honour God through Jesus Christ.
We prepare our students for fruitful ministry by connecting training with the vital concerns of our times.
Training for Ordination
We offer a range of vibrant part-time pathways for Ordinands sponsored for training by the Church of England. Our teaching is designed to be inclusive and accessible, yet transformative.
Our distinctive vision shapes how we approach all aspects of formation, learning and teaching. In addition to study of the Bible and the Christian tradition, all ordination training programmes engage with mission, evangelism, leadership and discipleship, and are sustained by a life of prayer, worship and a life-giving spirituality. Pastoral care and preaching skills are developed, aided by extensive reflection on personality, character and relationships.
Training for
Lay Ministry
We train for Licensed Lay Ministry, equipping Readers to engage with their local communities and relate the gospel to real-life issues in ways that are inspired by the scriptures.
Clergy Development Training
We offer Clergy Development Training as part of our vision for facilitating life-long learning and development, and for the flourishing of the wider Church.
Other ways
to learn
We welcome self-supporting Independent Students to study theology, ministry and mission with us at either undergraduate or postgraduate level.

All Saints Community
“We found a TEI that possessed: a strong sense of community, despite its dispersed nature; a collaborative approach to mission and ministry; a strong commitment to contextual mission and ministry and to careful theological reflection; and a heartening openness to a breadth of diverse traditions across the church. Truly, the name ‘All Saints’ is well-chosen.”
