Our Partners

All Saints Centre for Mission and Ministry is a partnership.

Legally, All Saints is a company limited by guarantee, set up by a partnership between the dioceses of Blackburn, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester.  Each diocese nominates trustee-directors to our company’s Board which sets the strategic direction for All Saints and is responsible for our finances, staffing and compliance with Church and legal requirements.

Practically, the partnership is expressed through a sharing of staff resources, with each diocese appointing a Director of Studies for the students it sponsors to work with All Saints.  Each diocese also recommends tutors to teach with All Saints and ministers to act as chaplains to students and staff.  All Saints develops the skills of the partner staff we work with so that they can be more effective in the work they do with us and for their dioceses.

Parishes and chaplaincies in each diocese also provide placements for students and All Saints supports placement supervisors to provide more effective supervision to improve training.

We maintain close relationships with the dioceses we were set up to serve.

All Saints is also a partnership with the Church of England’s House of Bishops and Archbishops’ Council who recognise us for ministerial training, and with Durham University which validates our academic courses.

Most importantly, All Saints is a partnership between staff and students in a learning community which seeks to explore and grow in its understanding of the Christian faith and its implications for life today, and to grow in its love for God revealed through the Holy Scriptures and in Jesus Christ.
