‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts…’
The pivots on the thresholds shook at the voices of those who called”. (Isaiah 6:2, 3, 4)
The Lord sits enthroned as king forever. (Ps. 29:10b)
We reflect on the transcendence of God, who is beyond our capacity to imagine; whose power is reflected in these biblical images of a monarch sitting upon a throne.
We acknowledge our fragility and weakness; our dependence on God at every moment for our existence.
We remember in prayer today:
Those who at a time of illness feel conscious of their fragility and weakness.
Carers and medical workers.
