…Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up…” (John 3:15)
We reflect on seeing Christ, raised up on the cross. We see with the eyes of faith one who heals, just as the Israelites who had been bitten by snakes in the desert, saw the serpent raised up by Moses and were healed from their wounds.
Like Nicodemus, we move from darkness into light through the revelation of your Word.
We remember in prayer today:
All who have been wounded by the violence of others.
Those oppressed by racial, religious or communal injustice.
Those struggling with uncertainty or anxiety.
